History of Pattesons Glass Ltd (2007 to present)
Pattesons Glass was founded in Grimsby in 2007 with the aim to meet the ever growing demand for glass containers. Initially selling jars and bottles for the food industry, Pattesons soon diversify into the spirit (Bottles), Pharmaceutical and gourmet markets, eventually moving into the caps and closures to suit.
With the realisation consumers were looking for the best quality products at competitive prices, Pattesons moved away from more specialised glass to focus on more conventional shaped glass. With this decision Pattesons ventured into the wines, oils and vinegar markets adding new items to the existing product range. (Food jars, bottles, Spirits, Gourmet, pharmaceutical and cosmetics)
In July 2011, Pattesons centralised its operations into a purposely built, two-storey office facility with showrooms, generous fully fitted office and warehousing. This now sits proudly at Estate Road 8, South Humberside Industrial Estate, Grimsby.
With the company now settled in, Pattesons were recently awarded an accreditation in storage & distribution by the BRCGS alone side this the Pattesons warehouse team were all awarded an QFC level 2 in warehouse and storage skills which contributes to the efficiency of our warehouse department.
In 2015 work started on our expansion to the warehouse and offices. With plans to double the size of both facilities this signifies the growth experienced since 2007. With a roof top terrace staff room facilities and meeting rooms to be added.
Pattesons launched a band new eCommerce website under the name Jars and Bottles.
IPG take majority stake in Pattesons in a multi-million pound deal. The majority stake in Pattesons has been taken by Industrial Packaging Group, an $85 million turnover operation based in Belgium.
In 2018 Pattesons invested in automatic capping machine to help improve warehouse efficiency.
2019 saw the addition of a secondary storage facility creating an additional 2200x pallet spaces. A further expansion of Pattesons packing room was completed in September.
In 2020, Pattesons became the UK supplier for Le Parfait.
2021 saw plans drawn up for the creation of a new corporate website and brand identity for Pattesons.
